Painting a ceiling fan blade is not demanding but you should follow some basic instructions. A few coats of paint can work wonders on an old ceiling fan and breathe new life into a room. Take your ceiling paint and roll it onto one side of the fan blades. Once it s ready to go spray the blades and or hardware pieces with a thin even coat.

Gently sand the blade to remove any burrs or bumps. You can remove the fan from the ceiling and take it outside to spray paint or you can do what i did. Before purchasing please ensure you have identified your fan s model number and upc to confirm compatibility. Let the paint dry.

You can also use stencils and stamps to create a unique pattern or design on the blades. You could use generic liquid primer but this stuff is much less messy and goes on easier and more evenly. Fan blades can be given a quick makeover by painting them yourself.
