Blue Label Red Cedar Shingles

Western red cedar shingles in this grade are sometimes referred to as blue label which is a registered certi label trademark.

This shingle is 1 2 to 5 8 thick on the butt end and tapers to an average 1 8 thickness. This shingle is sold in packs of 12 square feet. Lengths 16 inch 18 inch and 24 inch. These top grade shingles are 100 heartwood 100 clear and 100 edge grain.

Blue label shingles are also 100 heartwood 100 clear in the bottom 10 nearest butt and 100 edge grain. 1 18 perfections blue label western red cedar direct cedar 1 18 perfections blue label certigrade the premium grade of shingles for roofs and sidewalls. Available in both sawn and sanded face textures. The certi guard label identifies cedar shakes and shingles which have been pressure impregnated with fire retardant polymers to provide permanent fire protection.

This shingle is 1 2 to 5 8 thick on the butt end and tapers to an average 1 8 thickness on top. Finishes natural primed white primed gray or special order colors. Class c shakes and shingles are identified by their blue certi guard label. Class b shakes and shingles are identified by their red certi guard label.

Manufactured from number 1 grade blue label or number 2 grade red label certigrade red cedar shingles trimmed for parallel edges with butts sawn at right angles. 1 shingles are also available with a pressure impregnated fire retardant or preservative treatment. These western red cedar shingles are 18 in length and vary in width from 3 to 8 wide. These are available in 16 18 and 24 lengths in either western red cedar or alaskan yellow cedar.
